This 40-hour course combines interactive discussions, instructor-led sessions, and evaluations to equip land managers with essential skills and knowledge.  Topics include:

  • Forage-based livestock economics
  • Plant physiology and grazing responses
  • Ecological processes affecting forage
  • Livestock nutrition and reproduction basics
  • Aligning production cycles with forage quantity and quality
  • tools and guideline for adaptive grazing management
  • Infrastructure development
  • Monitoring and drought management
